I didn’t work after I had Iain until Charlotte (3 years younger) was in Junior school. I have never regretted that decision as it gave me the chance to spend so much time with my children during their early years – and when I did return to the workplace, I took a part-time job for a number of years so that I was still around for them at the start and end of their school day.
